Ladakh covers about 45,000 square miles (117,000 square km) and contains the Ladakh Range, which is a southeastern extension of the Karakoram Range, and the upper Indus River valley. Ladakh is one of the highest regions of the world. Its natural features consist mainly of high plains and deep valleys.

4. Deskit Monastery (118kms) founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo in 1420 A.D.
5. Hundar village (7kms from Deskit) and Double-Humped Bactrian Camel Safari in sand dunes at
Hundar.
6.Turtuk day Excursion, It was under Pakistan’s control until the 1971 Indo-Pak war where it came under Indian governance, recently opened for tourists.
7. Pangong lake via Shyok and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik ( Pangong). It’s a short cut and it’s a beautiful route. The road follows the Shyok River, and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village.
8. Chang la pass and also enroute visit Hemis Monastery situated 45km west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh.
9.Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley.
